“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”  — Fred Rogers

Curriculum Approach

We aim to provide a stimulating setting based on an understanding of the needs and interests of each child. Additionally, in our home, we aspire to empower the growth of a child’s creativity and self-expression. His/her creativity and self-expression are fundamental in several developmental areas.

We are currently using the Creative Curriculum however we also utilize the California Department of Education’s Early Learning Guidelines to target specific areas of development during play and other activities:

Social and Emotional Development

Language and Literacy Development
Mathematic Learning and Development

Cognitive Development
Creativity and Self Expression
Physical and Motor Development

In addition to the above, we are a part of the Quality Start Riverside County program. Quality Start Riverside County helps educators and providers that work with young children, like child care programs and preschools, to achieve a higher quality of care for young learners. When early learning programs sign up for Quality Start, they receive classes, training, and resources to help them reach their early learning goals. For more information, please visit the Quality Start Riverside website here.
